I had some moron from 127.0.0.1 trying to hack me for a week. Everytime I started my computer he would start hammering my box. I sent him some virus infected files, but I think he got my computer at the same time, cos I had to format after that. -P |

The 127.0.0.1 address is an alias for the local host so whoever sends the email gets it coming right back at them. Its not a hacker, its you - silly!! Hhehehe |

Nothing is impossible :S We use the 127.0.0.1 in work to ensure we have installed network cards correctly (or when we are troubleshooting basic LAN issues) |

Yeah...kinda like that! In its simplest form you can use the PING command on it, which basically echos a response.....'are you there?' 'yes I am' Therefore if there was a problem with the LAN card config then you'd expect an error :) |
