I do it with aphex above all
(i bought smojphace after all... though it doesnt seem to
get home)

I do it with autechre... but I did never found a shit
release by them... i just wish I could get the rarities
also.

I do it with pulp: I buy anything from them that I can...
even though I prefer them before diferent class

I do it with orbital: and to be honest I bought a promo ep
of rest and play that is in my opinion a bit shitty

I havent got that compilation but I have the albums (except
"it" but some songs from " it " come in the countdown
compilation)

the fire albums are:

it
freaks
masters of the universe (collection of singles)
separations

I guess that the fire years might compilate some of the best
tracks from those albums

artwork is very important for me, it's the first thing i
perceive about the cd and i'm often more attracted to the CD
which has a pretty artwork than to the one everyone says
it's very good...

but i wouldn't buy a CD just for the artwork, i don't want
too much skeletons in my cupboard and i'm not that rich i
would buy things at random anyway.

Smojphace will be the first Aphex cd I've passed on. I'll
buy everything Autechre puts out and the Bass Cadet Remix cd
is the only crap one among them, imho. If I had the money
I'd pick up all of Snares' output.

yes, i've done this alot in the past. And i still do it, but
i'm trying to stop it though...

When i look back at all those cd's i bought that i only
listened to one time... it's really a waste of money. I
could have bought other cd's instead that were actually good
:-p

But i fully understand where you're coming from though :-)
It can be very fun collecting everything from a certain
artist. I just wish all those artist made sure everything
they released is actually worthwhile :-p

I used to collect releases on the 4AD label - for the most
part it was great music and fantastic album artwork.

Things went downhill in the 90s and I stopped collecting
after the stupendously crappy Pale Saints - Slow Buildings
album.

I sure like it but as I have the albums I never bought that
one... maybe when I have more money... I am a fucking sick
collector
