i dont think there is anything wrong with downloading
music... because your supposed to suffer by not having the
artwork, hence if you like it enough you would buy it... but
mp3s + the artwork = stealing! :)

offline REFLEX from Edmonton, Alberta (Canada) on 2003-06-26 13:18 [#00758175]
Points: 8864 Status: Regular

mp3 + the artwork = who cares really, I mean.... uh......
fuck the artist if they cant handle people taking their
stuff they put out there, my answer to the artist who cant
handle free exposure and people hearing their stuff, then I
say "suck it up buttercup"...

teapot: what the fuck, no im not, its opinion first off, who
gives a shit, if you want to call it stealing then fine, I
dont care, im stealing and I love it, if you get good
quality its just as good as the real CD, better, cause you
didnt have to pay a ridiculous price for it, if it werent
for p2p and cd burning I wouldnt have heard or known of 90%
of the music I listen to. Fuck the artists if they cant
handle it, whiny pussies, there are lots of bands and groups
that love this idea, supports them the real way, having fans
listen to your tunes, fucking loser artists talk about
losing money, fuck them and fuck their greedy money.

Yeah, those artists love the idea right up until point where
EMI stop sending cheques.

hey, im not having a go about downloading music, i do it
just as much as anyone, its a great way to get into music, i
personally would just feel like a complete thief if i
then went and downloaded the artwork, printed it, and made
an inferior version of the actual package, thats what i
consider piracy... but that just me... i didnt mean to get
your back up about it
::peace::

who gives a shit what artists think, you got to step out of
this little nutshell world and see that its not supposed to
be about the money, or the artists, but about the music, and
listenint to it. There are people who share this opinion,
mostly the underground type, many of you here.... its sad to
think that anyone would stand up infront of a record company
and say, no, you have to pay, or you should, look at this
poor company, fuck that capatalist bullshit regime, who the
fuck wants to support that shit

teapot: I know im not trying to fight, thats lame, im just
saying that, even though it IS piracy, I dont see it as
wrong. Because in my eyes it should be a given... er I guess
it is.

you dont understand, the sad truth is, that we need money to
live... and for these artists to keep doing what they are
good at, they need to be supported, regardless of the record
companies, thats just business... we live in a world where
the individual cant make an artistic statement without
funding.

Well, an individual can make all the statements they like,
money just helps them get noticed.

teapot: I know many bands, artists or groups that helped
themselves out, if the artist cannot help themself because
of money, then do like real people do and get a job., god
knows when I was in a band, we didnt live off band money, we
all had jobs, living between shows would have been near
impossible, or else I would have lived like a "starving
artist", fuck that shit.

did your experience on the road have such an effect on you
that you became bitter and twisted towards artists?
