June is drawing to a close, the longest day has come and
halfway-through-the-year-cause-i'm-an-obsessive-audiophile-
gone... it's time for your annual who-can't-wait list...

my top 5 are as follows:

Prefuse 73- One Word Extinguisher
Tim Hecker- Radio Amor
Gescom- Iss:sa
Jan Jelinek- La Nouvelle Pauvrete
Venetian Snares-Badminton Park

other notables: Sixtoo- Antagonist Survival Kit, Autechre-
Draft7:30, Madlib- Shades of Blue (may very well turn up on
my list at the end of the year... just got it, very wicked),
Deerhoof- Apple O, Kevin Drumm- Lando of Lurches, Hecker-
Sun Pandamonium, Dub Tractor- More or Less Mono

by the end of the year, i'm sure i'll have gotten off my ass
and heard some more decent rock... just not yet...

The only two new albums I've bought I've liked considerably:
Draft 7.30 & Hail To Theif ('but I'm not!')

Gescom Iss:sa
Autechre Draft 7.30
Radiohead Hail To The Thief
(these are not put in a particular order).
Thinking about it: this has been a weak year for me
musicwise...

let's think what the other 'big guns' have done compared to
mu-ziq, aphex's collection of remixes blatently put out to
make cash, and ae's draft which was good but soooo boring
it's not funny

people have to stop getting so pissed off about the title of
his bloody compilation record... it's a joke... foremost...
as well as a snide remark that applies to all record
releases and not just those who proclaim it as such...

Sigh - i thought everyone new why the mixes thing was put
out - it was cos some other company was doing a comp without
richards permission to make money from his name.
the bug is infinitley more groundbreaking interssting and
exciting than the dull ghetto u-ziq is in
