Have you ever extensively researched different subjects
and/or topics as to increase your worldly knowledge? In this
particular question it is phrased with non career subjects
in mind. So if you are currently going to school to study
Japanese and Software development such as Program Coding or
such, with the intentions of moving to Japan to code
software it would be irrelevant to this particular question.
Have you ever studied anything that would be unnecessary to
you in life? Such as perhaps going to the library and
reading up on a particular subject not based on interest of
that said subject but just to have an understanding or
comprehension of something unfamiliar?

That's how I started getting into experimental music. I just
grabbed a number of books a while ago. Even my alais here is
after an experimental composition.

How about you?

i often research and look up stuff, some times trivial
things if thought of in the context of my studies. Always
things i'm interested in, but i find i'm interested in a
lot.

Also the nature of IQ tests are such that increase in
knowledge should have a neglegable effect in the score you
acheive.

yeah i was just thinking, IQ is not really about knowledge.

Although some IQ tests are critisised for requiring some
sort of knowledge, especially culturaly specific things that
may give you a better result than a person from the other
side of the world even though you're not smarter.
