first three = Yes

latest two = No, they lack the charm. No charisma in
characters, all cardboard. It feels forced, like "Shit, we
gots all this story, let's just drag through it. Why are we
making these movies again? Oh, yeah, $$$, almost forgot."

kinda sad isn't it? i didn't think epII was all that bad,
but definately not the same. it sucks how everything is
about money.

-but i was gonna go down to tashi's station to pick up some
power converters!
-you can waste time with your friends later.

I think the best part of the new episodes are the bonus
discs where you get to see a fat, lethargic Lucas who slowly
whines as he gives direction to the animators. Especially
watching him argue about the new look he had given Yoda in
Episode I and he;s fat and I hate his new movies.
Except they look beautiful.
Especially that scene with Natalie Portman where I;m wishing
someone as hot as Carrie Fischer was on screen.
Damn.
At least Uncle Owen played his own father.

I thought I liked Star Wars until I saw the Lord of the
Rings films.

Even the first 3 were pretty shit seeing them recently.
Awful cheesy shite.

Fuck off Hollywood.

yes.. they are intensly cheesy... but the consistent

Well there are the original VHS releases which are, of
course, the original versions. Then they digitally
remastered the 3 movies and released that. Finally, in
order to raise money to make Episode I, he re-released all
three movies with new special effects and deleted scenes in
the theatres 3 months apart. They're all ok except they
raped the production on Jedi, the 3rd one.

well, actually, the one you call the third one is probably
in reality the sixth one, although it was the third to be
made, chronologically.

I said, chronologically.

this is something i was wondering about...

will the dvd's be of the special edition variety when
they're released? i hope not. but if so, maybe they will
include a *SPECIAL EDITION ON/OFF* switch. i can't wait
untill they get those out!

offline aneurySm from Ypsilanti (United States) on 2003-06-21 19:12 [#00751021]

shit. Lucas is such a turd. I hope we;d get a *SPECIAL
EDITION ON/OFF*! I hope they get released soon and not when
he's spent all his cash making stupid movies and wants to
make more.
