does anyone know if there are any VST drum thingies that do
an 808? I can't be bothered with the messing about on
Rebirth and want something a little more flexible.

apart from the drum programming, rebirth via rewire is ok.
you can put vst effects, eq etc. on each individual drum
sound (bd, sd, etc.)

Why is it named 808?

offline corticalstim from Canada on 2003-06-14 23:31 [#00740958]

it was originally named after bob moog - but they thought
that the name "bob" wasnt 1337 enough - so they changed it
to "808" - yeah - i know - its a sad, sad world.

Yeah, waldorf attack has one, but its not really that good.
best way to do it, is to record all the drums from rebirth
and save them individually as wave files (or whatever it is
you use) and use them like that.....

works for me :)

I can only see getting an 808 for the collectors value.

Way to expensive for what the machine can do.

math" by the boards tho......and countless other tunes as
well.

I am going for a jog. I am wearing a borrusia dortmund top
and bayern munich shorts which I find is frightfully ironic.
guffaw guffaw.
