i got it on vinyl today, the e bug remix is wicked but the
noise tracks are really taking the piss. the rephlex press
release even said:

"two excellent, new percussive and melodic recordings by AFX
exclusive for the Rephlex sublabel Men"

imagine the opposite of that sentence, thats what the tracks
are like. they are not even decent noise - like merzbow or
sth - just total piss takes. oh well, it was only a fiver
and like i said, the bug remix is cool

bugger... not one person so far has liked the noise
tracks... at least the remix is getting good reviews. I'm
still looking forward to the noise tracks though, some of
them were good when i saw him support Bjork, though maybe he
picked the shittest 2 for the cd and is saving all the good
stuff for an album?

Are the voices part of the track? Because I actually really
really really like it. Is it Elastic Larry because I want
to try and get it.

thats what i though, before that he pretended to stop a few
times :)

I think i'll be one of the few who actually like the ep, but
i guess its a minority who actually like noise tracks
anyway. I'm new to noise, the only stuff i've heard is
Xinlisupreme and Smojphace live at the Bjork concert but i
like what i've heard so far.

I have made a lot of noise music myself but I have never put
any of it up because I don't think any one else would like
it :P

voices are the Bjork fans moaning that Bjork was meant to
start at 9, it was probably about 9:25 when this was
recorded and Richard was still playing the noise :)

actually i think the voices do tend to work with the track
quite well... i should get my Smojphace ep tomorrow, can't
wait

no - i like the ep, the bug remix makes it. i also like
noise, well, i like merzbow. but the "noise" tracks on
smojphace are just annoying, scraping, high pitched noises,
there is nothing interesting or grabbing about them
