Or any art, really. Stuff having to do with angels and
cemetaries, cathedrals, and the like. Caspar David
Friedrick/Zdzilaw Beksinski/HR Giger kinda stuff. I want
some sites, google searches aren't turning up satisfactory
results, I can't find one of those magical ALL ENCOMPASSING
sites that seem to have everything. You know the kind of
sites I'm talking about. Tell me what you know or recommend
someone of that ilk so that I look them up.

I'm feeling Gothy! RWWAORR!

meathead and i were great adversaries once.. anyway i made
that pic may 1st after he said in his perspective he wanted
picture contributions for trent's birthday.. obviously he
couldn't handle it, but i knew he wouldn't use it anyway
since he doesn't like me. check my comments on the digital
noise thread "meathead perspective" in the nin forum for
what i think about his column.

Gustav Dore's good, particulary his illustrations for
Dante's Inferno..

Bosch is amazing..he drew hell all the time.
1 2 3 - its about
people being tortured more than anything.

About the Friedrich Cloister Cemetary painting, he did loads
of different versions..with snow/without etc.

When Peter Saville was designing Joy Division's 'Still'
album, he was going to use that, but he went for the yellow
instead..his design ended up on a bootleg though.

this is only his old website. he's developed a lot more
since then (produced better stuff) ..this is more the moment
when he was finding his feet.
the thumbnails in this gallery dont really do the
final works justice.

Beksinsky is amazing, just checked out his website for the
first time in a while, seems his digital art has improved,
though I still prefer his paintings which are on par with
Giger.

Beksinski

the music is amazing on the site too, its by Preisner who I
just found out is a film composer, he made some soundtracks
for Kieslowsky films.
