yesterday, in the dark of my listening room i played the
following musics:

.amber (all album)
.garbage (all ep)
.some tracks from incunabula
.track1 and 4 [envane] (draun quarter is awesome)

well, i'm a lover of old Ae works, their melodies were
probably the best who i never heard.

------------------------------------------------
AUTECHRE, Sean and Rob are you here? you have to know who I
like all your last albums, but I miss really really much the
amazing and wonderful melodies who you created in the first
years of your brilliant career. I hope one day my ears could
listen new melodies made by you.

I think confield and draft (and of course peel session 2 and
ep7) are full of melodies...

but I understand what you say, I also love that old autechre
sound... garbage is indeed the perfect release

i find a wonderful melody in capiv (gantz graf), i find good
melodies in many confield's tracks, i don't find any melody
in ep7, and really few in draft 7.30

what i mean are melodies where seems you are lost in space
or you're flying between mars' mountains. melodies who can
hit in deep in the heart and sometime could make me cry.

i enjoy chiming minimalist melodies set to distressed beats.

btw: time ago i found melodies in ep7 too, and especially in
the last track 'Pir'
For understand clearly last Autechre works I need much time
and much concentration. It's not easy music.

I still hope they make a combination of Incunabula and LP5

Kalpol Remote would sound far beyond cool :}

All I'm hoping for is something more melodic than Draft
7.30. It sounds to me like they just couldn't be bothered...

sometimes i think they making tunes like the ones from
incunabula & tri repetae, and releasing while releasing
confield & draft 7.30 (cause people will buy it and love it
anyway)...... (i remember an interview where sean told that
they can make up to 10 tracks in a good week)....

melodie in keynel 1 is awesome - perfect combination of
beat, melodie and vocoder

HOW THE FUCK COULD YOU SKIP THE MELODY IN CAP.IV, it's BY
FAR my favorite.

that god damn piano is SO soft in the backgrond, it is BY
FAR the best thing out there,

Selected Ambient Works by Autechre? It's one of the best
idea who I never heard!!! It would be an awesome
masterpiece... a dream.

no, i dont
part what i like bout ae is the irrecognisability of the
sounds. no guitar for instance. i also like the stuff that's
done with strings, not quite standard they are. btw: i made
a mistake about latent quarter somewhere: that's a clarinet
i believe, not strings (yes that a recognisable sound)
