I don't know if this is true, but I e-mailed with Boards of
Canada's norwegian distributor, Voices of Wonder (VoW) the
other day, and they claimed that WARP stated internally that
BoC are through giving live performances..

how's that for sucky?

well, like they'd ever visit holland. No-one does in the
world of braindance.

the main concern is whether or not BoC have ceased giving
live performances. Doesn't that concern you? hehe..

Things are going in the wrong direction here.

vsnares, plaid and boc

"Doesn't that concern you? hehe.. "

Not if it means they'll use the extra time to make more
albums :-p

I think it'd be a shame if they never performed live
anymore.... but i wouldn't say it really concerns me. ALbums
are much more important to me than live-shows.

well, it's not like they spend a shitload of time doing live
performances - they do it once in a while, and it's a damn
shame to see them break out of this habit. So I don't think
the time they spend doing shows, will have any affect on the
time they spend tweaking knobs. Neither quality or quantity
wise.

But you're right though, albums ARE more important than live
shows - However, it still concerns me.

I heard they're quite pissed off on the AFOT thingy..

that's a rubbish rumour. here's another one: boc are doing a
huge american tour next spring.

a lot of the idm artists have started to get put off doing
live performances because they're getting fed up with
minidisc/filesharing bootlegs of their shows.

no more gigs because of bootlegs?

Christ, how pretentious is this genre getting? Its a fucking
live show. Its not like a CD they are trying to sell. And
not everyone in the world can show up to these concerts.
And they do variations on songs and stuff.

fuck that... really... fuck that.

When I do shows, Ill encourage people to record it. I
mean... come on...

what ever happened to it being about the music?

Btw: nice to see you core, its been awhile since ive seen
you online!

agreed, that is incredibly stupid reasoning. anyway, it's
not like BoC ever tour anyway.
