you know I find live jungle sets with MC's babbling over
the music SO FUCKIN ANNOYING....
Anyone else know what I mean...The set Im listening to now
is:
Ed Rush and OPtical live @ Mardi Gras 2002...with MC
Rymetym....
And the thing is the set would be dope if I didnt have him
screaming in my ear...Also with all the BUKEM sets I have,
most have that annoting CONRAD, that bloke can really get
monotonous...Maybe its just me and I am very picky, but I am
yet to find an MC that I enjoy over the beatz....

Anyone agree?...disagree?

i dunno... i haven't listened to much jungle in a while...
but i remember not minding MC Dynamite on Reprazent
tracks... although the 12"s they put out on full cycle are
almost always better than their album fare anyways... so it
doesn't really matter that he sounds okay...

I kinda agree.
Listening at home it can be very annoying.
But when your at a clubb and the MC is decent it can really
highten the atmosphere.

haha! =)

Why is it that in hip hop the fact that a track is a remix
is often stated like ten times ?

" REMIX!! "

Yeah We get it!!!

MCs make me totally hot and bothered, they amaze me like
nothing else. (good ones. being picky is very necessary)
maybe cos I am a drummer and a writer. I think it's the
perfect combination of rhythm and rhyme.. music meets
poetics... the epitome of my cup of tea
conrad sucks though.

I don't mind MCing at all, but some of it can get annoying.

Funny...'cause I was just listening to a Bukem Logical
Progression session this morning, and I was just wondeing
how much more beautiful it would be if that MC would JUST
SHUT THE F*** UP.

But then again...where would a classic like Roni Size's 'Who
Told You' be if there were no MC's at all ?

i think the next prog session (8?) is being recorded live in
perth and I'm gonna be at it!

(this is all second hand news from a mate, so I'm not
EXACTLY sure)
