apart from qrtr who obviously has the promo white label
test pressing because he's such a big fan...

anyone heard this pathetic attempt to do something 'new' by
cashing in on the name on a once creditable album now in its
6th reincarnation?

i haven't and i won't

I've been looking for the original version of this for a
while, but can't find it here... I'm positive I've seen it
in a store here though...

What's your problem?

Tubular Bells2 was fantastic, and 3 sounded nothing like
Tubular Bells at all, and was also fantastic. So what-he
called it Tubular Bells3 to make it sell better...it's still
a great album.

And although Tubular Bells1 is fabulous, it sounds shit
(sound quality wise) by 2days standards, so he decided to
re-play it all. And the results are great, but un-original
and yes I agree, THIS Tubular Bells screams "cash in!"...but
NOT the other ones, which are varied and great.

There's at least 1 good hardcore tune that samples tubular
bells, dunno what it's called though.

Isn't TB2003 just the one rerecorded?
Then split into about thirty different tracks so it loses
its identity?
The only part of TB3 I like is the Secrets/Far Above The
Clouds ending section.
The original is great. Although Hergest Ridge and Ommadawn
are my favourite Oldfield albums.

Hergest Ridge is 2 amazing. It's the 1 album I can listen to
an be transported 2 another place completely. It's like more
classical-esque Boards of Canda..

Sorry.

What about Amarok? I used to adore that some ten years ago.
Haven't heard it since then.

Think I've got it here somewhere.. or maybe it can be found
on slsk.

I keep meaning to get ahold of Amarok. I don't like his
annoying poppy two minute songs, but his longer soundscapes
I love, so I should really get it. Some time, some time.

radio 2 is an easy listening radio station for old
people to sooth away the pension blues before they die
