Múm - Yesterday was Dramatic tomorrow is ok. This album is
full of all haunting type of IDM.

If you want 'distrubing' check ou the new Silent Hill
soundtrack, some of the tracks on there are great.

And of course...Board of Canada - Geogaddi is pretty
haunting. Especially The Devil is in the details

I find some of Mira Calix's music haunting, and some of her
tracks remind me of silent hill.

Ive noticed alot of people using the term "haunting" to
describe music lately

no complaints... just an observation.

its probably the most frequently used word I hear when
people listen to my tracks...

just interesting I think...

haunting is better than the four letter word people use to
descibe my music...that word begins with s end with t and
has it in the middle.

I wouldn't listen to it if your speakers can't handle really
low frequencies though, probably want a sub fer it.

lustmord
phoenecia's 'brownout'
plastikman's 'consumed'
parts of brian eno's 'apollo'
stars of the lid's 'avec laudenum'
sigur ros
a silver mt. zion

i guess thats all the music i can think of currently, that
hasnt been mentioned that could be described as 'haunting'

'Haunting' is a pretty subjective word when used in this
context too. What one person interpets as haunting could be
seen as quite soothing to someone else, or vise-versa.

Now Venetian Snares I would not consider haunting. More
like violent.
