Haha. Come on, she does. Despite being a pop star, you can't
tell me her voice isn't bad.

offline S M Pennyworth from East Timor on 2003-05-25 07:49 [#00713778]

she sounds pretty much like the average school rock band
female singer.

offline bjg from Adelaide (Australia) on 2003-05-25 07:51 [#00713779]

+ she has a bit of Alanis in her.

offline AlbertoBalsalm from Reykjavík (Iceland) on 2003-05-25 07:59 [#00713783]

she looks cute ....that's all that matters. the music is
listenable, more than many other female pop singers, like
britney

Points: 9459 Status: Lurker

though i must admit, her singing is a bit annoying. but i'm
blinded by her cute-ness ;)

i saw her sing live on tv...i was watching 20 seconds...

false... blah. She sounds like any other highschool age girl
mouthing off.

oh her voice is good allright......after it's processed in
the studio

offline AlbertoBalsalm from Reykjavík (Iceland) on 2003-05-25 08:19 [#00713794]

her voice sounds good through a ring modulator :>

Is she the slut with the song called skaterboy?

offline bjg from Adelaide (Australia) on 2003-05-25 08:26 [#00713798]

I actually don't go much on her looks. She looks too
masculine. I think she's a total fuckwit and all the rest,
but the question, do you tihnk her voice is ok? I think it
is. Bjork's voice gets processed to you know.

offline tolstoyed from the ocean on 2003-05-25 08:32 [#00713806]

from what i've heard (and its only 20 secs) i dont think her
voice is ok

offline uzim on 2003-05-25 08:36 [#00713812]

(btw, Phresch, that was a pretty lame comment. not very
constructive imho.)

offline Anus_Presley on 2003-05-25 08:39 [#00713817]

she can't sing verry well. she's ok but not verry good.

offline corrupted-girl on 2003-05-25 08:40 [#00713820]

She does not have a good voice. If you wanna get into pop
star voices the ONLY one who has an amazing voice is
Christina Aguilera. The rest are shit. obviously..

She's alright, but her accent ruins it for me- your
archetypal petulant, "whatever", californian teenage girl
voice, arrrgh!

hmmm.....I find that the sugababes (yes I know, it's pop
too, blah blah yadda yadda) have good voices too....I've
heard them sing live on TV several times and they CAN sing.

offline DJ Xammax from not America on 2003-05-25 08:45 [#00713830]

Bjork's voice isn't processed at all, I saw her sing
live and it was studio quality. Okay so I wasn't actually
there, she was being interviewed and they asked her to
perform, and it sounded just as good as any of her songs.

I always think the sugarbabes sounds like upbeat Leila
tracks off the first album... one of her singers ahs a
similair voice. I think there's a lot worse pop than the
Sugababes.

and i heard them sing live on tv...not perfect but much much
better than any other young singers!

offline corrupted-girl on 2003-05-25 08:57 [#00713848]

ohh hmm, interesting.

but i guess it all depends, there's soo many different
styles of voices.. it's all about taste. but no matter how
good the voice is , the lyrics and music play a big role..
so yea

:D

Avril has a reasonable voice, not much range on it but she
can perform live better than a lot of female singers.

I fucking hate the sugababes.

I saw Girls Aloud on Top Of The Pops, and aside from the
ginger one they all sang really well, I was shocked. They
can all 'ave it as well

actually christina aguilera tries so hard to be whitney
housten or mariah carey that it destroys any chances of her
having her own niche.

False , <-- see that.it's got a capital 'f' and not just
cause its the first this i typed.... , she sucks and so does
her voice.

Avril Lavigne doesn't have a good voice, but she does have a
fine pair of lungs, which is why I bought the 'I'm With You'
single.

Christina Aguilera has a great voice, as does Vanessa
Carlton.

whitney or mariah..

STUDIO MAGIC.

she's obviously spent time training her voice so she IS
better than some girl on the street. but is her voice
special? no. can she sing live like you hear on the radio or
MTV? no (catch her performances on tv and tell me she wowed
you).

meanwhile there're millions of better female singers who
receive no attention or don't get a record contract.
