THE BEST FUCKING THING I HAVE EVER EVER WITNESSED!!!!

Did anyone else see this 30min demo?

A millionn times better than DOom 2 or GTA Vice City.

Yeah, I thought Doom 2 looked quite poor compared to
HL2 too ;)

I like that antigrav gun and being able to barricade doors
etc. Looks absolutely ace. Be great for picking people up,
throwing them into the air and watching them fall to their
deaths >:>

The deformable terrain looks brilliant too, I just hope it's
not as heavily scripted as I suspect (IE you really can blow
anything up to make new routes etc.)

exactly.. they still probably have to sort out the
non-linearity that real life has.

The demo didn´t show whether this was psooible. The
linearity of games always pisses me off. a guy in work saw
the demo at a special screening with some developers of
"Ground Control 2" and they left saying they were so far
behind this they may as well scrap their game release!!

I was amazed when I saw those .mov's that where posted here
yesterday... The graphics where stunning and the "rigid body
dynamics" was also very nice. Objects interacting with other
objects that in turn interact with more objects - and they
stay important to the game as well - like barricading the
door as Ceri said. I've already set my mind to eventually
buying one of these cards that make this possible, and I'm
not really a person who like to play pc games.

i kid in my computer tech class installed a mod for counter
strike that made it have a dragon ball z style. the
characters were from dragon ball z and you used the
characters power attacks as weapons. it was cool as hell.
