this is very, very depressing. it's 05:02 a.m here and i'm supposed to get up in about...three hours. thing is, i've completely fucked up my diurnal rhytm (thank you dictionary), and i have exams in three days (begins @ 9 am). that's my problem right there. i'm a dead man.
am I the only one?

Well, I just went through a year of hell at school as well. Many times when I was stressed I used St. John's Wort - (herbal thing) - to chill out a bit. Don't know if it's available in Norway, but it helped me a little. Good luck.

your brain should shut down soon, not a big deal, but your body does kinda take the hint and force you to sleep.
insomnia, well, I've heard it's fucking awful, get help for it straight away.
I'm not a fan of prescription drugs, but get some so you can get some sleep.

I am an on/off inmsomniac ever since I had the Itch. The best cure for it I find is regular exercise. It may be a chore but it relaxes you and tires you physically. I tend to go running every 2-3 days and I try to eat properly. Also, don`t stay online too late or watch TV as that can keep you awake as your head is polluted with images and sounds etc

My solution: go in foetal postition and hold something soft ( like a cushion ) against your stomach. My insomnias always involve a harsh stomach pain.

Smoke weed. No caffeine at all in your diet. No pasta etc. Umm that's about it that i know of. I could sleep in til 3pm and be asleep again by 11pm or so if i don't have any caffeine and think constently that i want to be asleep by around 11ish. Just examples btw.
I stayed up til about 6am this morning and had to be at uni by 9. So i only got ~2 hours sleep. But i don't mind it infact. I like night better. I seem to be a lot more aware and energetic so i accomplish more like uni work etc.

Don't drink any coffee/eat chocolate, Long gentle exercise (like slow swimming for a couple of hours),
Breathing exercises before you sleep, "Light reading" like a magazine last thing before bed- nothing you'll stay awake and think about like philosophy/physics/religion etc.
