Apart from the obvious (Autechre) which artists/albums
do/did you find hard to appreciate?

For me It was Grantz Graf and Confield.

Also Claro-Brothomstates is growing on me.I hated it when I
first got it,but kept it because I loved "In" (the first
track).
Its a slow grower.

Merzbow. (no joke....)
Nurse With Wound. (and, to a lesser extent, Coil)

It was hard for me to get into Sigur Ròs - ( ). I found the
repetitive lyrics very irritating at first, but now I love
this album.

I love "Wish you could talk" the melody is one of the
best, and those beats are incredible,D'n'b at its best.

and some more classic bands, because of the voices of the
singers (Guns'n'Roses, the only track i had from Smashing
Pumpkins...)

Radiohead was hard for me too.Espicially as I hated guitars
back then when I used to listen to just trance and that sort
of shite. This is going back some years.

i let that song repeat while I was messing around with a
girl and it was so weird to stop, and listen, and think

this is fucking awesome.

DJ Shadow and RJD2 - this instrumental hip hop bores the
shit out of me but there are so many people who I know and
respect who love it. Perhaps I'll never get it.

well, I've never really found Autechre that hard to get
into... the hardest album of theirs for me was Chiastic
Slide... because, it was only my second purchase of theirs
after Incunabula... after I got into Chiastic Slide,
everything else wasn't that bad...

Other stuff though, well I found underworld really hard to
enjoy... mostly because I was kinda against dance music at
the time... the same with Orbitals In Sides album... this
album and Second Toughest In the Infants both took a year or
more for me to get into them...

Peter Gabriel's Passion was a slow grower... I enjoyed it
immediately on a smaller level, but then a few months later
it just clicked...

A recent album that I've bought that's been a slow grower is
SEcurity by Peter Gabriel... I bought it a few months ago,
and am only really getting into it now...

Ja Rule, Nickleback, Good Charlotte, New Found Glory, Linkin
Park, Jurmaine Dupriee (damn rat-bastard)
these "artists" aren't just hard to get into, they're damn
near impossible
