All i hear is how bad ass this car chase is...and i'm notta
huge fan of car chases to begin with...for the simple fact
that they are highly predictable.

should i drop $10 to see this or what?

**no spoilers thx**

Can't we just keep the Matrix topics down.

Yeah, this could really be discussed in the other matrix
thread... Don't worry, I'm not going to close this one.,
just saying for future reference.

Ever heard of the IMDB? No? Yes? There's a spoiler free
review of it over there.

I don't know, I'll be disappointed in a way if the
philosophical themes of the first one aren't explored in
more detail, but on the other hand, there's nothing wrong
with stylish out and out special fx fests once in a while.
Not everything you watch has to be life changing cinema to
be good.

I just saw "Taxi" (french film), silly, unbelievable,
slightly surreal and completely over the top. However, it
was very stylishly executed and great entertainment, despite
the fact I'm not going to ponder over the finer points of it
for months to come. :)

I just watched a trailer of Matrix 2 and saw the big fight
scene with Neo fight 99 clones,Its soo pathetic IMO.

Like Ceri says its lost its philosophical themes that made
the Matrix what it is so well favoured for.

In Matrix 1 ... explain the poxy Oracle bitch to me. Was she
some extra-sensory bitch in a pod who´s matrix-self was
isolated from computer control and she just grabbed "gifted"
kids when she could to train em to fight back? Is this
right? Aslo, I didn´t really get the need for our heroes to
be near a phone to escape.... i mean were´nt the phones
just numbers in the matrix?

Have you seen the sequel (Taxi 2)? I'm thinking about hiring
that at some point next week. Worth seeing?

part hehehe
i loved the opening scene a lot tho
a movie to make you laugh - nothing more to it...

Junktion: this movie, reloaded, is supposed to have a killer
cliff hanger... it's SUPPOSED to stop mid scene from what
I've read... the next one is only a few months away...

THE MOVIE IS AMAZING. IT's WORTH IT AND THEY EXPLORE THE
PHILOSOPHIC SIDE OF THE MATRIX TO NO END.

A++

speaking of movies (esp. the matrix, since manson supports
the trilogy with soundtrack songs and whatever else),
anybody see the dvd video that came with manson's new album?
that was some odd shit. i watched it without the sound on. i
was like "what the fuck." next time i will turn the sound
on. very different though. but very manson-esque.

nod, fucking ace movie... real good!! They explore the
philosophy more, definitely... and they also explain about
the oracle... this is EXACTLY my type of movie... I love
sci-fi... I love action, and this has the best of that...
and I really do think the story is great... ok, maybe the
acting ain't the best, or even the dialogue, but I do think
the story and all is great... just my opinion I suppose...

Well, they spent $25 million on the car chase, so it must be
a good car chase.

its good. probably worth seeing ...

cheesy as hell - though that is to be expected. some nice
visual effex, and nice thoughts to ponder over ... shame its
covered in a sugary coat of hollywood - but you get that.
just remember to brush your teeth afterwards!

there is hope for the third in that its title is
revolutionS, not just the one :) but who knows ..

I've only just seen the first one.

it's okay.

the philosophy is bullshit though - lots of time is spent on
exposition of the 2 realities thing without actually taking
ANY interesting points about the philosophy.

also, I thought the premisse was weak - why is it bad to
live in the matrix exactly? because it is supposedly not
real? then how would you ever know the supposed real world
is also not another matrix? in short: whats the point.

i haven't seen it yet.

everybody at my school's gone ape about it.

i'm supposed to see it tonight w/ some of my buddies but
nobody's called yet. i don't really feel like goin' out
tonight anyhow. i gotta complete an online course to finish
up my credits for my graduation (high school) this week
anyway, and it's supposed to be done by tomorrow.

good thing is that it's easier than pie.

about the oracle: see part 2 for the answer to that
question

and for all of you who are saying part 2 has no
philisophical themes... you obviously arnt paying
attention.

and remeber, this is functioning of half of a larger
story... part 3 will have many revelations and answers...
but I already got alot out of the second one... you just
gotta think about the stuff more... and some of its not
obvious either...

agree with zeus -- without giving anything away ... if
matrix 1 is 2d ... then matrix 2 is 3d ...

I have paid to see it three times already. So, I'll say yes,
it's worth at least one view. If you're having a
difficult time deciding whether or not to part with such a
small sum of money, then maybe you shouldn't see it. I
wouldn't want you go to without necessities.
