I never thought there would be an opera composition I'd
like, but I really like Schubert's "Auf dem Wasser zu
singen", sung by Renee Fleming.

Maybe it's because I heard it for the first time in the
Battle Royale movie.

Am I crazy? more crazy than I thought?

i'm crazy as a FOX! hahahhaha

i grew up with ze opera.....it's SUCH a beautiful expressive
way of singing that i can't explain how deeply it can move
me.

i have lots of favourites, however before i recommend what
is it you liked about it? it's important if you wanna get to
know the genre to steer you in the right direction because
LOTS of peepz are turned off by opera because of 'what they
THINK it is, so can you explain what you liked about
it.....the soaring voices, the melody, what??

i'm glad you enjoyed it !!

:)
well yeah, it's the pianopart, the melody and the emotion in
the voice i guess (with this particular part then (i hope
this 'auf dem wasser zu singen' is considered opera,
otherwise i look quite stupid now :D))

nacmat: yeah glass has some great stuff too imo, i love
'freezing' from that 'liquid days' he composed

I really love Donizetti's Lucia L'ammamor (however that's
spelt). Also, Wagner, and Bartok's Duke Bluebeard's Castle.

I've got that one on video - It's Ok, but not his best

Yeah I liked sleepless to...
I just think that opera is among one of the most beautiful
movies I've ever seen...
"Wax mask", is another extremely beautiful movie... Argento
wrote that together with Fulcio and some other guy I think.
