every holiday i work at the Grolsch beer factory to make
some extra cash, and i see those bottles and cans going to
all kinds of places in the world..

so i was wondering.. do they have it in your country? and do
you like it? i think it tastes good :)

ow and they also brew beer esp. for (mostly) russia and the
likes, it's called 'Amsterdam', they come in 4 different
types;
'Amsterdam Maximator' contains 11,6% alc. <-- fuck me, do
you russians really drink this stuff as beer?

(i know this is another 'do-you-know-this-dutch-thingy
do-you-know-that-dutch-thingy topic, but i'm really
interested in these things.. :))

Nooit gezopen dat spul van Grolsch. In de plaatselijke kroeg
is het meestal Gulpener of Warsteiner

stella artois, but i wouldnt turn my nose up to a bottle of
grolsch, i like the rubber seals on the top ^_^

Fantastic pint of Grolsch in my local. I dig those
massive bottles you can get too, smack someone with
one of those and watch em get up afterwards, ain't fucking
happening!

grolsch is okay.

It's okay, I'm not a big beer/lager fan, but if there's no
wifebeater (Stella) about and there's only beer on tap
grolsch is a decent 2nd choice. We got a big keg of it for a
house party and it was well recieved.

Jar: Yes those massive grolsch bottles are lush. Worth the
asking price for the glass alone. Mine is still at Chris
B.'s house from the last house party.

Hehe, Germans are (stereotypically) famous for their Bier

Try to convince me their beer is crappy then ;)

i am not too much into alcohol, but i know grolsch. you can
find it sometimes in some pub in germany. especially in
those "dutch pubs" where they have frensh fries dutch
style..,

i even know a dutch bar in paris where they have grolsch.
which is the best choice when in paris....

I like Oranjeboom better than Grolsh in My opinion it tastes
better. My favourite beer is German White beer Hoegaarden (
You can drink this for £3GBP a pint in the Arnolfini, (Ceri
JC) expensive but worth a go if you have not tried it
before.) The quality of regular lager is much better in
Holland than in the U.K. People over here will not drink
Heiniken / Stella because all the stuff brewed under licence
is crap. The only major difference is the fact that the
Dutch have winter beers that taste of Lemon and Cherry. We
have no real alternatives to that apart from alchopops which
are fruit & spirit based.

This is the most mental beer I have ever drunk.
It is not that strong but it just turns everyone loopy. A
similar effect to the Perry@Glastonbury.

my advice: NEVER own up to liking Oranjeboom in Holland. it
is frowned upon (and rightly so, I say, for it tastes like
piss).

Yes, I like dutch beers- especially when served in those big
steins :D

I think Hoegaarden is pretty good (although it may be the
"under licence" version I tried).

That link seems broken...

Just out of interest, do you europeans have cider in your
countries?

other countries pretty much
only they call it 'Amsterdam' then and it has some other
package, it's entirely the same though

fuckin' 11,6% alcohol, you don't drink many liters of that
