Brett Hull is still going strong, had a great season. Scored
his 700th goal this year. The Golden Brett. And that game
blows goats!

I'm not really paying attention to this tournament, the NHL
playoffs are first and foremost in my mind. Go Ducks! But
I'd expect Canada to win it all.

silly is people who say sports are silly.

I'd expect Sweden to win this... Canada and the US don't
really care too much about this tournament, we're all
focused on the NHL playoffs. So we didn't send over any of
our best players... you guys take it more seriously and send
over guys like Forsberg and Sundin.

I'm looking forward to the World Cup of Hockey... last one
was in '96, and the US won it. It's been a loooooong time.

The NHL play-offs are always during the World Cup (or vice
versa), so of course no one sends their best players.
Usually a national team only gets the good guys if their
team is out and if the players want to play a world cup
after an 80+ game season.

I'll say the Slovaks take the cup again. Palffy, Satan and
co look impressive.

Its up to the players themself to enter , aparently Forsberg
and Sundin had nothing better to do since their NHL teames
are out of the tournament.
They have been ignoring the World Cup for years. Cunts!
The world cup isn't what it used to be , it's not the best
players innit!
Its so stupid , why hasn't anybody thought of changing the
date to AFTER the NHL finals ???

offline Ophecks from Nova Scotia (Canada) on 2003-05-06 14:37 [#00686804]
Points: 19190 Status: Moderator | Show recordbag

The US team is pathetic... none of the good players wanted
to go over. Chelios for example. I wish they'd take it
seriously.

Changing the date till after the playoffs would help a lot,
still a lot of guys wouldn't bother... the US in particular
doesn't give a shit.

Go Finland, it starts in a couple of hours!

This is probably the most interesting game of the whole
tournament. I don't care how the Finns play afterwards as
long as they beat Sweden. It's a shame they had to meet so
soon. I'd like to see both go far.
