I just discovered ani difranco. How lame am i? Glad i did
though. I started with 'like i said'. Any other
recommendations? I hear she has over 20 CDs (!). Im thinking
i might just have to track them all down.

Ugh! Anyone who starts a label called 'Righteous Babe
Records' can't be all good ...

She's barely fuckable...
Maybe if you where really drunk.

(Note : Atempt to be as ignorant as possible)

i have this friend who's been trying to convince me for over
a year now that i need to check this singer out... hm... but
somehow whenever i'm in a recordstore i always keep
forgetting to look for her cd's. There aren't alot of female
singers that i like though... i'm not sure why, but i prefer
listening to a man's voice.

i actually like most everything i've heard by her. (which
isn't a whole hell of a lot)

the sheer fact that she has a song with a chorus that says
"my cunt is built like a wound that won't heal."
makes her pretty cool in my book. plus, she used to be a
lesbian.

her hair is usually pretty ratty, but, i've seen some pics
of her where she looked pretty good. I'd be willing to bet
that if she fixed her self up like a celebrity people would
take notice of her more... i personally prefer au naturale
to make-uped out fake chicks anyway.

+ ani has a nice rack.

I like her. ^_^ I saw her wearing a Righteous Babe tshirt
once and though, "I want that!" Id MUCH rather wear
something like that than something stupid like, "Hottie" or
"angel".

I have Not a Pretty Girl, Dilate, Reveling/Reckoning, Little
PLastic Castle, and her newest, Evolve. I really like her!
At first, when I was just getting into her, I found her
(live stuff) to be a little annoyng.

I think shes kind of someone that you have to get used to.
Even now that iM used to her, I dont go on Ani buying sprees
and purchase everyting of hers. I like what I have, but I
dont get obsessed. :)

She sure can play guitar though. :D

i agree. Her lyrics are just awesome. Although her voice can
be a bit too warbly, but then bob dylan sings like a tired
old goat and ruins half his songs with terrible harmonica
solos.

My brother, who works in a recording studio, said that he
for all of Ani DiFranco's PR about how she's built her label
from the ground up, screws over the other bands that she has
signed. He can't stand her...
