the answer is always a multiple of 9
9, 18, 27, 36 etc.

look at the logos at those numbers, they're all the same

the symbols change next to the numbers on the list. all
multiples of nine in the list always have the same symbol.

remember the movie Stand and Deliver? edward james
olmos shows a cheater way to multiply by nines using your
fingers. similar principle.
