What are the the userphoto resctrictions/limitations?
60x80 (wxh) PIXELS. We recommend you to optimize and crop
your photo to the correct dimensions before you upload it.

make it into a .jpg and open it and go to image resize and
crop it to get rid of xtra picture you dont want

yeah but if he doesn't have photoshop?

use MS Photo editor, you're very likely to have that in your
Office folder. Load the image there, Image --->
Resize.../Change size ---> set units to pixels ---> fill in
60 in the top field and 80 in the bottom field ---> check
the 2 checkboxes ----> click OK

I recommend Irfanview (search google)... really simple
program that's PERFECT for making avatars. Do as I say.
