Where do you fit on the political spectrum?

Trying to explain my entire view on politics is really hard,
it would probably take a lot of pages, and then again I
think you have to know the situation of the country in which
the one who's writing down his/her opinion lives.

I can say some things: i'm not to be labelled right-winged,
left-winged, or whatever. I think each 'system' (be that
monarchy, communism, democracy, despotism, or whatever
system you can come up with) will have pro's and cons. But
I'm quite happy to live in a democracy of course. But in the
end, democracy doesn't completely work either in the way
it's supposed to go right now (with a parliament and so
on).

I don't know, it's a dangerous subject because of
misinterpretations too.

One thing: politics are important, you really should folow
what's happening!

The thing is: leftist systems really look appealing in
theory. But in practice it can lead towards the things that
happened in the past century... I'm not saying it WILL lead
to it, but large scale communism is hard to achieve in the
way it was meant to be.

And also: things were totally different when Marx wrote down
his theory. Also the people after Marx (boecharin, baikunin
and whoever else) lived in an entirely different world from
the one we live in now.

How should complex interacting units set up mutually agreed
rules so that all can achieve maximum happiness and minimal
unhappiness? It's best not to think about it because 1) you
have virtually no power 2) things are too complex to know
what will work 3) you're a member of an evil species anyway

communism is a form of socialism...

i go more to the left too, but people in this country are
too used to the right wing ways of the Tories. Hopefully my
generation are more to the left, if they even care :S

Socialists believe that every individual in a country or
nation should have equal property as opposed to capitalism.

Communists basically want the same only they believe they
can achieve their goals by a revolution of the working class
against the rich.

I had a fucking question about this on my history final :\

I think a dictatorship is the best way to go. Look at
President Bush and tell me that isn't successful.
Dictatorhips are the way of the future.
