Ok, I had Sonique to play my mp3's, but some sort of file
must have become corrupted, because it won't work anymore,
even though i've re-installed it.
So I went and got winamp, but the playlist shows the Media
Info Tags as the names for the songs, rather than the file
names, which is retarded because it fucks everything up and
nothing is consistent. I want the playlist to be the file
name and nothing else. Its driving me crazy because I can't
change it. Does anyone know how to change this?

look for a tag killer.

Headstrong ID3 Kill i've got. it works real nice, you set it
to delete all yer tags in one folder, and then it does it,
and the problem is solved. you'll find it on kazaa for sure,
i forget whether it was freeware or not.

I know how to change it.

Preferences - Plugins/input - Nullsoft Mpeg something (or
something) - configure - "Title" tab - there it is, the
format in which the files are shown in the playlist. Feel
free to make it filenames.

"The ID3KILL project has been cancelled for now. By the time
I wrote it, there were no good removal tools for ID3 tags
available."

Why would one want to kill ID3 tags? just use flexible
players like Winamp
