If Richard D James, Booth/Brown, or Tom Jenkinson died
tomorrow, how do you think you would feel about it?

some elaborate things have been done in the honour of other
famous musicians that have died, do you think that the same
thing would happen among the ranks of the dedicated IDM
fans, or would they just be forgotten like an old trend?

Refund/Matt.

I don't know, i know i would be really upset. But if Aphex
died, Warp would just release the tracks in his back
pocket...which would keep his releases going for another
couple of years

But it would be one less great musician out there, well he's
not dead os YAY :)

i would definelty make something special out of the day it
happened
i dunno exactly what i would do but.
i know i would feel very bad.

i mean i never understood the whole kurt cobain and john
lennon things, i mean people were so upset.
but now i know, when music really clicks with me, and
especially with people like thom yorke, booth/brown. mike p
etc who always raise the bar when releasing something, if
they died.. i would feel a loss.

why you gotta bring this shit up refund :(

I think I'd be making a special day about it too, I'd
probably take the day off work or something, sit down and
listen to his entire back catalogue and reflect on what this
guy has done with his lifetime,

I'd be pretty darn upset

if warp did an IDM global tour to commemorate the death of
one of these IDM stars, would you consider it honourable, or
just outright rude,

I think it'd be rude, but I'd still attend

I think it'd be cyncial and rude, but I'd still attend
provided the tickets were free (unless the tickets sales
went to some charity). A massive wake through London with
IDM blaring would be excellent. All the fans dressed in
black...
