There used to be a huge site - www.mameworld.com - but
that's either fallen by the wayside or you have to go
through the queuing system now (which sucks). But basically:
Mame for arcade roms; ZSnes for Super Nintendo stuff;
Megadrive - I could never get a decent emulator but
apparently there are some new ones out now; There are plenty
of GBA emulators which work great. Best bet is Kazaa - you
can download a pack containing the emulator and tons of
roms, anything from Donkey Kong to Super Mario 64. Soulseek
has plenty too.

He he, I'm always in there, when I worked near one summer
before last I was in there literally every day :)

Murray, search for "KGEN" on google and you should find it-
it's freeware if I recall correctly.

It requires a SB16 (if you're using SBlive soundcard there
is an emulator available). Shame really as KGen has the best
MD sound emulation IMO (probably as the old SB16 chipset
has that same old crunchy 16 bit sound quality ;) ). If you
still can't get it working, you might want to try
"genecyst"...

http://www.vimm.net/

lots of links. Since it's illegal lots of these site pop up
out of nowhere and dissapear as fast as they appear. vimm
contains lots of links but no roms or emulators.

emux.com is not ready yet, but check it regularly to
see if it's done. It used to have loads and loads of ROMs
