Worst album at the moment

Follow up to the other topic, "best album at the moment".
Mine is Draft. I´m so pissed off for trusting people´s
opinions instead of waiting a little longer and download it
and listen before ordering...

The most recent album I was really dissapointed in was Nina
Nastasia - the blackened air... i really couldn't get into
it, it was too country for my tastes. A couple of tracks
were nice though.

The new massive attack album was a little dissapointing too,
mainly because of Sinead O'Connor, i much prefer Liz Fraser.

as for Draft 7.30... its fucking awesome imho.

Supermodified, what a fucking let down, love the first three
tracks but it is all downhill from there.

Really?

I have it as well, and there's no songs on there that are as
good as 'unfinished sympathy', 'man next door', 'teardrops'
or so maybe, but I think that overall it is a quality record
without any songs that stand out, but I can't find weak
moments either.

I wasn't impressed in the slightest by 26 Mixes

Here's a tip w/ autechre. don't believe the hype. I've
purchased 3 of their albums. only 1 of which i actually can
pop in the cd player from time to time and listen to.

i admire what they do...but interms of listenablity they
fucking suck. i'll never spend money on them again. they
can/will lick my ball sac before that happens again.

I agree that 100th Window was the most disappointment of
recent times. It's very professional but fails to engage my
interest at all. So forgetable.

I was a little wary of Draft 7.30 after the first couple of
listens, but everything's clicked now and it really is a
very good album. When I look at the block of Autechre
releases on my shelf here it's really hard to conceive of
any other artists who could create such a consistently solid
body of work. Even their 'worst' is better than most
people's best.

i totally disagree, i love 100th window.
i wasn't born with the sinead o'connor hate so maybe that
has something to do with it.

about the worst album.. i don't know really, skimskitta
hasnt done anything for me yet.

I don't see what the big deal is with Autechre. Either you
get what they're doing or you don't. It's nothing you can
really debate over.

hmm with the ae curated cd its not autechre's music...well
only one song on there is (and a gescom song too)

its other peoples music

I'm really disappointed in Plaid Remixes - Parts in Post. I
know this is not new material, and just a collection of
remixes, but it's awfully boring and generic. Then again,
it's not as boring as 100th Window (and I'm a big MA fan)...

Well, I can´t agree. I truly love Ae - as they were before.
I get the feeling that they lost their creativity and
inspiration as the grew bigger and become more famous, the
pop-syndrome again.... ?

2. If we´re not supposed to discuss music, what is this
messagebord for?
I think this is an interesting discussion, as long as people
keep to present their opinions and their taste of music, and
not critisizing others for theirs.

Parts In The Post has done nothing for m yet either. I guess
it's nice to have the remixes in one place, but they're not
remotely as interesting as 26 Mixes For Cash.

than ever before.
