Hi. My name is Marlowe; I joined only a short time ago, and
I'd like to show my appreciate for this dead person. I am
right now listening to Derek & Clive. I know some of you
enjoy Warp Records, and may be aware of Chris Morris, who
released Blue Jam on their Label. They did a collaboration
together, too.

"I'm gonna get the Guiness book of Records to recognise ME
as the number one cunt-kicker in the world!"

The Chris Morris calloboration was brilliant, "why bother?",
my favorite was 'Bears'.

Re: Peter Hook - Must be playing The Eternal or Heart & Soul
since he has the 6 string bass.

better album.

Well it looks like I'm outnumbered here.

Power, Corruption and Lies > Movement

After 84, nearly everything he recorded had the same sound
yes [the chorus turned way up], but before that, he not only
revolutionised the way people play bass, he was in one of
the two best bands of that time..

Hehe, I'm sorry. Blame Boobsy and Komakino, my post were
one-off jokes and they took it too far. Shame, shame.

So how about that Peter Cook, guys? What a great man... he
was... or is... I dunno.

were at the time.

"Peter Hook is a cunt"

just quoting what one of The Cure band members said at the
Hyde Park gig... something to do with Peter Hook complaining
about The Cure copying a bassline of his, or something like
that.

Joy Division are, or were soooooooooo good!!!

Thats why I love it here, even artists outside of IDM you
know and respect. I've been to Indie music message boards
where they only know Creed and Linkin Park, and bash any
other type of music.

Yeah, the were a cult band at the time; still are in a way.

for favorite Derek and clive sketchs; 'You stupid cunt',
'This bloke came up to me, and he said "you cunt"', 'Worst
job i ever had' and the song "Im a nigger and i fucked a
white chick" come to mind

I only have Nausea, full album - I think there was maybe one
before that or something, not too sure... I have/had various
other D/C sketches.

aha, I got Derek & Clive confused with Jean-Paul Sartre
there! The album is 'ad nauseum', not 'nausea' :)

I got 'Come Again' the other day but wondered if I should
have gone for Derek & Clive Live or Ad Nauseum.

I haven't heard 'Come Again' I'm afraid, so I've no idea of
its quality. I find Ad Nauseum funny, although I've noted
that it was panned by allmusic.com
