I think all danny boyle movies are highly overrated.

i dont really like most of the soundtrack - find almost all
of the songs to be either annoying or boring - but i do like
the iggy pop tune and the underworld track(if you cut out
the good parts)

I love the Underwold-born slippy track. It fits perfectly
with the film.

Ohhhhh yeah, that movie is spectaculous. Robert Carlye's
character is... quite a character.

the underworld track is good - but its godawfully long - it
takes like - 3 minutes of intro for the good part to start -
and even that gets boring after listening to it for 5
minutes straight with no changes - god i hate underworld

offline DeadEight from vancouver (Canada) on 2003-04-06 16:47 [#00635689]

but the better underworld track on that soundtrack is Dark
Train (dark & long mix)... both tracks can be found on the
70 minute long born slippy ep which is probably my favourite
underworld release

I thought that it was interesting that new order's
"temptation" is played at no point in the film but appears
on the soundtrack,. then I noticed that Diane (Kelly
McDonald) is singing lyrics from it in Renton's "withdrawl"
scene

I'd watch it before you buy it, the film is a bit too weird
for some to enjoy.

yeah, I've read it a few times.

he's called Irvine Welsh, btw.

the book is quite good - all kinds of perspectives, all
kinds of dialect.

temptation plays in the scene when rent wakes up in kelly
mcdonald's flat after they do it and there is a shower going
and i think she may be singing it or it may be playing. i
forget.

she's singing it in the morning when he wakes up after they
had sex.
i think it plays at some other time, but it's easy to miss.
cant remember though

then of course renton imagines she's on his bed singing it
on the scene where he;s comming off heroin when he's locked
in his room.

good song./

Apples and Oranges.

I wish I had a nickel for every person who's tried comparing
a movie to a book. They are two different worlds.
