Saw it years ago when it came out. Pretty grim, but
worthwhile.

I hear the sequel was... less good.

heard this was a depressing movie, but i've never seen it.
isn't it about the native people of australia? or new
zealand......how disfunctional they are after the government

Very depressing film, watched it in Film Studies today. It
is our focus film for our world cinema exam.

Actually made me physically sick, the 13 year old rape scene
was a bit too much for me. I'm not usually like that in
films, but i suppose because it was in the domestic sphere
and was so blatant it made my stomach turn.

Very powerful film indeed, but yet very depressing.
