Maybe it only happened once, or maybe it happens all the time...
What music (genre/artist/track, etc) makes you cry?

Right now I've put "Ruby Rain" (by Pino Donaggio, sung by Laura Evan) from Dario Argento's "Trauma" on repeat...
It's a short but fantastic track. Amezing. mellow. feeling great.

some of Plaid's tracks are quite the tear-jerkers.
In general, there is no particular genre that makes me cry - it more or less depends on what memories (not mammories!) the music brings back.
and so forth

Laserbeak > probably the same thing as you! i barely cry anymore...
but quite often i'm very close to tears (and not crying anymore doesn't mean i'm happier than before).
and those songs are the ones that bring me the closer to them.

I more ofthen cry to movies than when listening to music. I most ofthen do other stuff while listening to music... but when I just lie down with my eyes closed and float away with the sound... I get emotional, and it feels great.
different emotions to different kinds of music.

i'd say some music can elevate feelings of sadness that youre having.
usually through lyrics. i used to cry whenever "where i fall" by the reindeer section got played.
cos it reminded me of better times that are now behind me.

With those songs it happened to me. Because of the music ofcourse, but it also has to do with the day and the mood i was in... but still... they were 4 beautiful moments :-)

Music don't make me cry, but nothing else does either. I seem to lost that ability. What doesn't mean I don't get sucked into the feeling of a song.
First things that pops into mind:
* Diane - both by Therapy & Husker du * Troy - Sinead 'o connor * I wanne be adored - Stone Roses * Brothers in arms - Dire straits & most of AFX's ambient work. * Orbital - The box
and as usual with lists, you can go on & on

""IZ-US" is sweet =)"
it sure is! I would love to browse richard's harddisk to see if he had done any more songs in that style ;-)
"Kippevelsong. ;)"
:-) it's just so beautiful... especially the ending, where he doesn't really sing anymore but just goes: tu du du tu du tu du... it cuts right through your soul.
State of love and trust is a great song... but doesn't nearly have the same impact on me as black. Rearviewmirror gives me an adrenaline-rush instead of goosebumps ;-)
Other PJ-songs that can give me goosebumps: footsteps (!), indifference, not for you, nothingman, better man... all soft songs :-p

..., nothingman, better man... Seems Eddy is making progress in his selfesteem. :)
Rearviewmirror has the same desperate feeling to me as the songs mentioned.
I should listen again to some PJ stuff, it's been a while. I saw them once minus Eddy Vedder with Neil Young live. One of the few concerts I almost can relive.
