I think the idea of it is cool......but i'm beginning to think it's a bad thing.... (for those of you who don't know, 420 is the police code for possession of marijuana, hence, stoners use it as a marajuanical reference) (?) ... |

Honest to God, I didn't know what the signifigance of 420 was until now. I knew it had something to do with pot, but I didn't know about the police code. You learn something new every day. |

yeah this kinda bothers me too, seeing as i am gonna see me family being all family-like and such, but still know that all kinds will be, well "smoking the kind." not only this but like all knids of terrible shit has happened in the us on this date, namely the columnebine shootings, the oklahoma city bombing, the waco finale, among other things. my sister was gonna get married on this date last year but i convinced her to switch for various reasons... |

no, i know it's not actually a police code anywhere EXCEPT for in new jersey (where i used to live), but there are several myths surrounding the origin, like you said, 420 chemicals in marijuana (actually there are 315, depending on the type of marijuana also), and other things,... but it actually originated from a gang of pothead schoolboys who are now in their 50's and it was a time for them to meet and talk..... |
