This is very true. Luckily all my friends have access to all
this hi-tech funness but are not geeks. I repsect them and
think they are cool :)

I'm bored. I'm not one of these trendy types. I'm only
half-geek. I don't go into any category, or roll with any
crowd, I am me.

dj xammax: but you labeled yourself as a half-geek so you're
throwing yourself into a category. good answer tho, i don't
like to categorize my personality aswell. You are who you
are, you do what you do but you'll always be yourself

I'm a MAJOR geek, I'm so uncool it's a crime. Probably less
cool than anyone here.

By the way, since none of you nerds are replying to my post
in the Radiohead topic, are there any sites with the album
still up? I already have it but I need it for someone.

You're not a REAL geek until you're a moderator on a
freakin' IDM messageboard.

THINK ABOUT IT

one thing i can figure out is that it's VERY hard to have a
good time at a normal discotheque : ( but that goes for all
non-mainstream people i guess.

I think I met the king of geeks last year, some dude in my
animation class who wore a magneto t-shirt all the time,
sweated like a fat man on a cold night and looked like a fat
version of kevin bacon...

the word "hip" :( my mistake

...and they reall ARE a seperate species, by definition,
since non-geeks don't breed with geeks.

Alberto I'm sure we all feel like that about our beloved idm
but the non-geeks (the dark side) think otherwise

We cannot co-exist, eventually the non-geeks will try to
wipe us out...it's kill or be killed, the fight to keep
small businesses alive, whoes with me?!

i electronic music, i like technology, i like computers and
video games, i like cars and motorbikes, i like sex, i like
sport

i don't see why you can't like all things just because you
are into electronic music

i like all things but virtual stuff is much easier to
achieve,

personally i dont feel too weak or unsure to get lots of sex
(the only thing im a bit starving for, besides good
discotheques),
but somehow most girls just look through me...

non-geek people could also say the opposite thing... : )

"how boring is being a geek? sitting at your computer all
day, making nothing but video games and listening to geeky
music? not seeing the light of day, not going out, never
going to parties nor anything!! this must be hell!!"

happiness lies in various ways.
each person has its own ways... (or not)
