I do like that a lot, by the way

this one is not actually photogram.. its a light painting on
light sensitive paper, with photographing fluids.

photogram is like umm a photo made without a negative, with
objects on the paper to make shapes.

the next PHUX release (alongside w/ other xltronic visual
artists)

its funny how daylight makes black and white photo paper
purple.. all these were very experimental things.

cool :) artist name neetta i assume.. how should i
abbreviate that for file names? "neet"? 2-4 letters
please... (the system is abrev-nameofpicture goes here, eg:
how-timecapsule.jpg)

also do you have names for the 2 pics above? cos when i
saved them they were named just random #'s.

i have lots of works like these but i only had those handy
when i got to the scanner. they are mostly experimentation.

tits, neet is good, only the first pic has a name, the
others are 'nameless' :)

its made with a folded piece of paper, a photograph machine
and by opening the darkroom door for a half second.. its
amazing what one can do in a darkroom!

offline tibbar from harrisburg, pa (United States) on 2003-04-03 02:31 [#00629973]

it reminds me of something, but i dont know what. something
out of a citizen kane dream sequence directed by dali... or
something.

what you see in the pic are basically images of shadows.

offline tibbar from harrisburg, pa (United States) on 2003-04-03 02:35 [#00629980]
Points: 10513 Status: Lurker

i love how simple it is, but at the same time, it is very
suggestive of something. sorry if i sound like i'm trying to
read into something that was just an experiment... i have a
tendency to see things in art that aren't necessarily
there... kinda put my own thing into it.

These are cool!

I experimented alot with the photographic paper when i was
still in artschool (and there was a darkroom to work in). I
didn't know it was an actual technique called photogram :-p
But i used to put lots of stuff on the paper whilst
processing them (scissors, paperclips, my hands, pieces of
paper... anything i could find really)... it can give really
nice effects!

I like the light-paintings even better... i wish i had
thought of doing that myself :-p

if you look at it again, you'll notice that the picture is
basically a person laying in bed with an, ahem...
erection... *cough* and um, there is a cloud of confusion
swirling around it's head. there is a window on the wall
that the cloud is entering through.
