I think not,

Looking forward to it, perhaps he might play some unrealsed
stuff :)

I have. I've also heard yours, I know which one I prefer.

The 8th eh? Have to sort someone out to record this... what
time does Peel start? 10pm?

what songs of mine have you heard.. if you don't like it, I
understand.. there's a clear division in our tastes here..
seeing as I'm actually a grounded person that isnt into
things like .. I dont know.. child rape and the shitty
scatterbrained structureless noise you convinced yourself to
get into,, so a difference of opinion is probably called for
in this case

the only song i like is "poor kakarookee"... i agree with
the whole messed up sex stuff... and his music IS blatantly
noisy for no particular reason.

what THEO SAID about the messed up sex stuff"

it's just to provoke i guess

i like his stuff, maybe some people don't like it cause the
beats are rarely in 4/4
it's sometimes hard to keep track

urm, not for me... the timing has nothing to do with it. i
like don caballero, and believe me... there almost is NO
time signature in SOME of their more "out-there" stuff. its
just the blatant noisiness i think, and his lewdness, and
the fact thathe puts pictures of dead littl egirls on his
album covers.

it hasn't, i dont think. someone made a comment i agreed
with, so i expressed my agreeance. no offense to you for
digging them, i said i hope it's good.

oh, it's not a proper "Peel session" anyway, just a bit of
his ATP set.

I said in the Find Candace thread that I thought the cover
was tasteless. However this won't stop me listening to it,
or enjoying it. I've seen worse covers over the years
anyway. And "scatterbrained structureless noise"? Great! I
can listen to other artists if I want stuff that is
perfectly formed music. And I did not "convince myself" to
like it, Theo. It's whatever floats your boat at the end of
the day.

recording it. Hell yeah. I guess that explains the TBC on

some one tape it for me :D please?

and about the "vsnares is a load of trashy noise" thing

if you listen, you can tell each bit of it is intentional, i
can understand if you don't like snares because you can't
take it, but calling it "scatterbrained structureless noise"
is both unintelligent and bull shit

Yeah - you people who don't "get" Snares - why is it
necessary to rain on our parade?

IMHO, Snares is the best thing to come out since I heard the
Squarepusher Theme on Ken Ishii's Fast Forward & Rewind.

next time you listen to snares, count to 7 instead of 4

maybe you'll see that there's more to life than 4/4 beats

THERE'S NOTHING TO GET

you're full of shit if you think there's something only a
handful of people are in on by liking his music.. don't
compliment yourself like that

what you dont "get" is that he tries to fill every
imaginable moment of silence w/ a snare or some sound.. and
it's a fucking mess. but because it's a bit extreme and left
of center he has people liek you who think he's some kind of
talent
and who said I only listen to 4/4 rhythm structures??

there's a picture on HIS OWN WEBSITE of a show he did that
says it all. there's like 12 people there just standing
there (he's not even on a deus of any kind) watching him
play around w/ a tracker on his laptop.. quite a turnout.
who the fuck would PAY for that!?

I think his music is unintelligent and bullshit

well, the fact is, you're a stupid cunt who thinks very
highly of him self.

i'm sorry i had to be the one who told you, but your mother
and i talked it over and we both feel that at this time in
your life, you should know the truth.

the "handful" of us who love his music really don't give a
shit if you think it's unintelligent because you're wrong
and we're happy with listening to his "fucking messes".

that's it. encourage this type of miraculously commodified
(thanks to the impressionable few - yourself for example)
self-indulgence. I'd rather listen to the boys from autechre
drink syrup of ipecac and vomit on each other whilst
lesser-known animotion songs play quietly, in reverse, in
the background. venetian snares cant seem to connect one
part of his track to the next.. the melodic rhythm has
nothing to do with that of the percussion which, itself, is
VERY loosely based on some unidentifiable structure. it's
not good enough to want to decipher or get used to; unlike
the subtle elements of autechre's most recent work. he's
also canadian. just from looking at that embarassing avatar,
w/ your embarassing attempt at being intimidating(?) and
your embarrassing dreds (by the way, it's time to jump ship
on that .. please) you're just the person for which this
'music' is targeted.. so I guess you kinda deserve each
other. and work on getting over your high school years now.
don't carry that shit with you.

proud of you!

If people are getting enjoyment from this music, what is it
to you?

How small of a person you must be to look down on other
peoples opinions and spit on them theo.

Different strokes, for different folks.

Its not a hard concept to grasp.

I cant wait for the 8th, I didnt get to make it to his ATP
set.

calling aaron funk a talented musician is an insult and a
slap in the face to truly talented, ground-breaking artists
w/in the genre he's desecrating, and to its pioneers as
well, whose trail-blazing techniques are being rediculously
ran into the ground and shat upon by this fucker. his is the
dark, ugly (unlistenable) side .. he took everything I loved
about this music and ignored it.. and to me it all sucks.
this is what happens when metalheads make electronic music
.. I just cant take it seriously because I know it's
completely substanceless and it cannot pass for intelligent
art no matter how different it tries to sound.

though it is completely predicated upon a gimmick, I will be
checking the nymphomatriarch album though.

regardless of whether i like his stuff or not, this is
getting rediculous and has nothing to do with his peel

artist attacks, followed by member attacks. seems awful
silly to me gang. just goes to show that the differences are
ALWAYS bigger than the similarities.

you're a big liar. you rename your old track to aphex

discuss about snares, how bad he is...

WHAT!?!?

1) I did one aphex twin remix and one sortof cover based on
an improvisation .. or an improvisation based on an aphex
song.. both were credited as aphex twin remixes

2) the other track you are referring to, I downloaded drukqs
before buying it.. and one song "Aussios" was actually
someone else's song.. I put it on zebox and promoted it to
find out who/what it was from the many experts here

3) I dont know what the fuck monkey bass records is .. I
have nothing to do with them and, on principle, I would
never affiliate myself with a label that called themselves
"mokey bass" .. call it pride

3) there is no debating the atrociousness of venetian
snares

4) the xlt music massacre is down because a) you fucked up
your track SO many different ways: a1) you took 60 years to
finish it a2) you needed a fcuking song and dance every time
the VERY BASIC rules of the xltmm confused you and even then
you a3) STILL fucked your long-delayed opening track which
forced the next in line to create a completely unrelated
track thus defeating the purpose of the experiment to begin
with. that person was asked numerous times to reproduce a
track that somehow picked up where your bullshit left off.
this was never done. so it's not my being lazy. even if it
were my turn now.. I most likely wouldnt get to it
considering there are certain things like: school,
finishing/releasing/pitching a double album and two EPs,
setting up a revival fund for the iraqi people through my
university's school of diplomacy, the autechre remix
obviously takes precedent over this scrapped experiment
anyway.. fuck off
