Cut & Splice Festival: Oval, Francisco Lopez, Farmers
Manual, John Cage
Avant-garde fucknuts unite! The Cut & Splice Electronic
Music Festival is just days away! Beginning April 3rd, every
Thursday, the Institute of Contemporary Arts (ICA) will
present a vast array of cutting electronic music of the 60s
to today. Assuming most of you won't be able to fly to
London every Thursday for a month, BBC Radio 3's Hear and
Now will stream the broadcast for you stupid, stupid people.
Each of the five nights will focus on different styles of
electronic music: Musique Concrete, Electric Voices,
Electro-Instruments, Plunderphonics, and Soundscapes.

Here are some of the cool things you can expect: Markus
Popp's Oval project will be presenting new digital music;
Quartet Electronische will reinterpret John Cage's Cartridge
Music; Bernard Parmegiani will perform a spliced tape
composition; Francisco Lopez will perform in "total
blackout"; and Farmers Manual will perform with visuals
created by designer Tina Frank.

That links page isn't finished. Never is, there's whole
categories missing. Just shows how inherently lazy I am.
