the eyes of stanley pain' if youre curious

ive heard beefcake, they have similarites to download, and

fuck ritchie hawtin aka:Plastikman. One of the most
overrated electronic artist ever. He tries to hide his lack
of talent through the mask of simplicity and ambience. not
IDM not in the same league as IDM.

I know scanner pretty well. Minimalistic music. Hard to put
a label on. His best known characteristic is the use of
scanned mobile phone conversation and unusual samples.
'Spore' is a nice startingpoint.

chulk - Used to be on TEFOSAV. Now rnus a CD-R label called
Kleinsklicken or something

fugu.san - Used to be on TEFOSAV

Inner Culture - Used to be on mp3.com.

mikrosopht - Can't remember..

Ml: - Used to be on mp3.com. I think Doglatin AKA Autofire
(on tefo) knows them or has talked to them before or
soemthing...

monolake - On chocolate industries or something aren't
they?

pan sonic - heard of but that's about it

precenphix - mp3.com. Was the 1st Artist Of The Month on
Joyrex.com.

plastikman - Hickie Hawtin. Acid stuff. Boring imho.

scanner - has Ds inmy local rekkid store, that's all I know
though.

spark - I thow there's a label called sp.ark, but I'm not
sure if there is an artist by that name...

Sorry that's not a huge help...

EDIT: d'oh yeah I meant ML, not MI:.
I don't know of any MI:

I have a spark CD. it is on n5MD which is a alright label,
but the spark Cd is crap, dont waist your time.
Speaking of ML, they also have a good CD on n5MD.

Download is a cEvin Key (of skinny Puppy)side project. It
is good but not as good as Skinny Puppy.
He also has side projects called Plateau, the ghosts of two
rooms, and music for cats.

pansonic: ambient as far as i can tell...like sittin in a

walls. can be awesome at times

Plastikman is definately bullshit. Ok, Richie Hawtin have
made a couple of fine tracks on +8 in the early '90, and his
F.U.S.E.-album (also on Warp) is a nice record. Avoid the
rest. Plastikman is sooooooooooo boooooooring, you can't
imagine.

hawtin is not my thing-pretty boring, perhaps its ok for the
background music...

i like monolake the most out of that list
and rechenzentrum are good as well
dont know many of those tho...

Plastikman is excellent. Just because he doesn't bang out a
million beats a second doesn't mean he's not talented. Get
sheet 1, musik and recycled plastik.

I dont care what you say I have heard them all nd they all
suck. I am a firm believer in keeping your friends close,
and your enemes closer, and hawtin is the enemy.

pan sonic (ex panasonic) is Mika Vaino and Ilpo Väisänen
from Finland.
it's very minimal and repetitive ambient electronic bleep &
bloop, hiss humm, plop & niks naks. some think it's
excellent, and some think that it's shit. sometimes i like
it very much, but i can't listen to it every day...

yeah that one's excellent too, not very pan sonic style i'd
say.

he does some solo stuff as Ø which was the alias used for
the björk remix too i think. i haven't heard any other Ø
yet, so i can't tell you what it sounds like.

i remember reading about Ryoji Ikeda on this board and got
interested... later i downloaded some old Ikeda clips but
didn't get excited... i remember having a painful headache
that night too... haha strange. i'm gonna give it a try
again sometime, those albums seem to be interesting.

Ryoji Ikeda @ Brainwashed
