"Dear 1Mb customer

Exclusive opportunity to trial the UK's fastest unlimited
home Internet service

As an existing blueyonder 1Mb customer, you'll appreciate
how speed has transformed your Internet experience enabling
you to browse web pages in an instant, enjoy streaming video
and download files in a fraction of the time.

So how about a service that's up to 40x the speed of dial-up
and 4x as fast as BT broadband? blueyonder 2Mb is the new
revolutionary Internet service from Telewest. It's the UK's
fastest unlimited home Internet service.

We want to trial our new 2Mb service with 1,500 lucky
blueyonder customers for it's first month. You must be an
existing blueyonder 1Mb customer to take part, but there
will be no extra charge for the duration of the trial.

The trial will take place from the 26th March for 4 weeks,
during which time you will have access to the Internet at
speeds seldom ever experienced by home Internet users.

All we ask in return is your feedback, in order for us to
successfully launch this 2Mb service nationally.

If you'd like to trial the UK's fastest unlimited home
Internet service please visit
http://fastest.blueyonder.co.uk

Hurry, places are limited and we can only offer it to the
first 1,500 who register.

Please do not reply to this email.

Yours sincerely

blueyonder"

I so hope I got in quick enough....only about 10,000 or so
of us on 1mbs in the UK so should be ok....

It does sound kinda decadent, I guess...

but it's my job to investigate tech like this so I'm not
complaining...

1mbs gets me Divxs in real-time....2mbs is DVD
quality...Video on Demand and all that....

(it's amusing that our work connection is a 2mbs JANET
link...but shared between several 100 people....now that has
made me feel decadent...:)...

fuck....I soooo hope they choose me as one of the 1500
....There can't be many more people whose life is more ON
than OFF-line...

YAY!!!...forgot to mention but I'm on the 2mbs trial...3
days gone...27 to go...(altho I'm going to have words with
the blueyonder people and see if we can come to some
agreement to extend that...they owe me a favour or
10...)...

"blueyonder is pleased to inform you that your exclusive 2Mb
trial is now ready to go.

All you need to do is follow the instructions below and your
internet connection will seamlessly transform from 1Mb to
2Mb, giving you the fastest home Internet connection in the
UK.

Switch off your cable modem.
Unplug the cable modem from the mains electricity supply for
approximately 30 seconds.
Plug your cable modem back into the electricity supply.

The amazing 2Mb service will be your default Internet
service until April 13th and you'll pay no more for it than
your current blueyonder 1Mb monthly charge. We will contact
you at the end of the trial to resume your 1Mb service.
You will also hear from our market research agency so you
can tell us what it's really like.

And, if after the trial you decide you can't live without
the speed you can pre-register for blueyonder 2Mb in
preparation for its national launch.

We hope you enjoy the latest blueyonder experience and look
forward to hearing your feedback.

Best wishes

The blueyonder team"...
