I usually pitch my CDs in the computer (aint got no good stationary CDplayer)...
sometimes up, sometimes down. most ofthen either +25% or -25%, but can be anything from -50% to +50%.

When i just got the record I immediately ripped it and burned a CD for a friend of mine. Never told him it was at the wrong speed ;-)

One of my fave things is too fuck with playing speed in Winamp....
so much techno (and Aphex) is born anew that way...
"Tha" at 50% is georgeous...20mins of bass beauty....

what you use in winamp? I've found any decent pitch plugin for CDs. For pitching mp3s I use pitchfork for winamp, but it's more fun pitching cds (better quality) plus you can play them slower (or faster) without pitching. Also you can play them slower but pitching them up... ah you get the idea.

pitching CDs is tricky technically....get em encoded as MP3s and no problem tho....
Check the winamp plugins site for speed changers/timestretchers etc.....

me to. I also pitch ambient to extremely low speed, classical music to about +18%, and so on. Lots of music sounds good (not weird) in atleast two speeds.

I don't find that tricky... I have this app that works just like the winampplugin I use, + it has more options.

I wish my record player could play 78rpm records. It annoys me only because I want to play things fast sometimes.
