i did some digging and the song on chappelle's show is an updated version of "hardware", the only officially released track from black thought's unreleased solo album masterpiece theater... the 12" single for "hardware" was released in november 2000. the music is by dj krush and sounds totally different from this version. not sure why comedy central edited this performance down to 3.5 minutes though, they could've cut out ONE commercial to let them do the full song. |
