Right now, I'm listening to the AE/Aphex live-set in
Vienna, absolutely stunningly beautifull.

But, with every sound I hear, I just keep on wondering "how
on earth did they do it all?".

I know AE uses Max/MSP a lot, and have heard stories about
Aphex practically sleeping in his studio and thus creating
some very abstract songs, but what are
ye-all-community-peeps opions on this one?

ha I've always wanted to try and play a live show but
haven't figured out how to make it interesting for the show
goers.

And how would I arrange my music, I think it would be ballsy
to just stand with a laptop and press enter, having no
interaction with the music, being a spectator to my own
work.

"stories about Aphex practically sleeping in his studio"

ae and afx are very clever blokes who spend loads of time
doing what they love. of course they are gonna be fucking
excellent at it.

his studio.

I love Live I use it all the time, Live 2.3.2 or what ever
version rocks.

I'm forever afraid to play live with computers; no matter
how stable they are you can never be sure that they won't
fuck you.

yeah, I've read that interview as well...

I'd like to know exactly how it's been done though. Which
samples went in those samplers and stuff...

I'd like to look over the shoulders of any of those guys any
time....
