Does your puter work properly (you're in control), or does
it screw you over constantly?
Also what puter/OS do you use?
If you have some memories (of love or hate) go on and share
to the members of the board =)

I remember one time when a CD-burner refused to work... that
drove me crazy...
It was some hardwarefault so I couldn't do anything about it
myself.

(btw it was a HP burner... 4x, from 2000 or so)

I hate when computers refuse to work.
Most people take it personally, and threat
the puter more like a person than a machine...
hehe. that is crazy.
It's weird how ofthen you can solve electronics-stuff
problem by beating on them.

i like my computer!
sometimes, of course, we have quarrels (like every people
living together most of the time!), he freaks me out with
important bugs or i have to unplug him...

he makes me very sad and anxious sometimes
(lately he had some weird ilnesses, i was afraid i would
have to reformat him, but fortunately he recovered!... twice
also he didn't let me connect on the internet and needed
lots of time to start up, the two times it was when i left a
girl i know when she was sad and i didn't know what to do -
i wonder if she is a sorceress who sent this bug to me as a
punishment, or if it's my computer who wanted to punish me
for that - i still felt guilty for it! i hate it when people
i like are sad and me not knowing what to do...) - - but
most of the time our relationship is happy. : )

I bitch slap mine every time it misbehaves (sorts out the
fan noise ;) )

It used to crash a lot due to overheatingh, but since I
underclocked it it's very stable.

No problems with mine...

Anybody know how to best handle your memory in Windows ME?
I mean it eats up my RAM.
It's not as configurable (without other software) than e.g.
win2K.

my computer does all sorts of strange things.
one time, porn just appeared on the screen, all by itself.
coincidentally, it was just as my parents walked in...

only reason I don't use XP is that it won't work properly
with DOS...
I ofthen watch old cracktros/demos and play older games...
Maybe I could install Dr Dos or something... but I don't
know.

nah... I'm from 1983 actually =)

I remember when I was a kid I didn't see things as "pixels".
I thought everything looked "drawn"... that's a cool fact.
Even the really old games with B&W/CGA/EGA (or alike)
graphics.

My puter works properly almost all the time. It's a Dell
PIII 700, 512MB RAM, running WinMe.

Only thing I've ever had to fix in the nearly 3 years I've
had it is to fit a replacement PSU fan. I'm convinced that
the more people 'fiddle' with their puters the more problems
they seem to have.

oh my WinME and puter (1ghz PIII, though only 256 RAM) works
fine to, and is always fixable if not.
Though WubME tend to take a lot of RAM and do nothing with
it.
I can free RAM with stuff like "TweakAll", but not sure if
it really helps.
Might be something else.
Anyway I need the ram for making music only, otherwise the
puter works OK.
