Not a whole lot of people here speak serbian, mate. It's
just you and me, it seems.

Actually, the whole point of this thread was to amuse you,
Tolstoyed.

Well, allegedly, they have found a bunch of guns and ammo
and other gear at her house. She allegedly has something to
do with the assassination of Djindjic.

hmm, i dont know why i checked the thread, probably because
of jonsey...
i just don't expect someone to open a thread in serbian i
guess, i only saw what the thread title means when i read
the first post :)

It was meant in good fun tolstoyed. Meho just thought it'd
be fun to see a dumb Welshman post in Serb on a Serb topic.

Or a smart welshman for that matter.

I just got to sign an appendix to my contract. It's a code
on conduct and it has 11 pages of stuff speaking about abuse
and other shit. I was too lazy to read it so i just signed
it. My boss shook her head in horror, but seriously, do they
really think I care?

you have no idea how funny hehehe...
i'll keep my eyes opened in the future-btw,when i saw the
title of the thread i thought it was about some indian
person :)

code on conduct? arent you all civilised people? :)

offline Meho Krljic from Beograd (Yugoslavia) on 2003-03-18 03:08 [#00601440]

Indian? Hahahahha, don't you watch news?

Civilised? In serbia? You know us better than that. But
actually, this came all over from geneva and refers to
everybody working for international federation of red cross
worldwide.

offline tolstoyed from the ocean on 2003-03-18 03:13 [#00601443]
Points: 50073 Status: Moderator

no news for me! oh, and ceca isnt that popular around
here-could be just me tho, im not even sure who's popular
here...
you should of made some demands yourself before sining that
appendix-something like being allowed to listen to music of
your choice to spend some quality time on this mb, etc.

offline tolstoyed from the ocean on 2003-03-18 03:15 [#00601446]

and btw, the more i look at the title of the thread the more
indian it seems...
remember-my serbian is not all that good :)

Ah, no, your serbian is perfect, man. WAY better than my
slovenian.

Meho: you have failed to change your residence from
'Yugoslavia' to the Federation of Serbia and Montenegro on
here.

offline tolstoyed from the ocean on 2003-03-18 04:11 [#00601518]

well, you seem to understand slovenian, which is more to
most of your fellow citizens
i can understand serbian pretty good, but i have troubles
with writing and speaking
its a funny thing actually-i understand serbian about the
same as english, but when i write im more certain that i got
it right in english than in serbian-im never sure if thats
the word you use-on many occasions it isnt hehe but
you(serbian people) seem to understand so i cant really
improve my serbian language skills :)

Jonesy: *sniff* for me it will always be yugoslavia...

Tolstoyed: remember I used to read a lot of slovenian
fanzines in my time. I can't claim to understand every word
but i understand the jist of it.

But I can't write or speak slovenian to save my life.

One thing I've noticed is that people who speak English as a
second or third language use different ways of constructing
ther sentences or words. Many times it actually makes what
they are trying to say clearer than English speakers. I know
this makes no sense but I think there is something in it.

Hehe, yeah, there is something to be said about studying
english at school. I always tend to use those schoolbook
phrases that no native english speaker really uses.

looks at me with wide eyes, surprised at the latest vicious
crime committed against the english language.
