Another thing that got forgotten was the fact that against
all probability a sperm whale had suddenly been called into
existence several miles above the surface of an alien
planet.

And since this is not a naturally tenable position for a
whale, this poor innocent creature had very little time to
come to terms with its identity as a whale before it then
had to come to terms with not being a whale any more.

I read all of his Guide books and two of the great detective
books when I was in college. Then during my service I read
all of the guide books again, this time in English. The
jokes made more sense that way.

that jude law thing is a nice idea, isn't it. they really
should make it a movie, but who would write it?
perhaps neil gaiman working from a script by adams.
and terry gilliam would need to direct it, that would kick
