I don?t know if I got the abb. right, but here in Sweden
they check out stuff concerning piracy...

i think its gotta be Reason Software A????? perhaps. i
dunno. im begining to hate reason. i use reason 2, but it
just sounds so artificial and weak. ive only made 3 good
tracks on it, and they needed lots of mastering after
exporting! plus there is hardly any headroom in the mixer,
so you cant have loud samples and quiet samples since the
louder ones clip v.easily. the fx except reverb are tame,
especially the crap distortion. i like the sequencer and
ease of use, compared to hardware, but the sounds out of it
are very bland. you can't create roughed up distortion that
sounds good and the whole thing just seems like a glorified
sound module, needs to be complemented with other things, so
not a complete virtual studio imo.......ill stop moaning
now.

I think reason got potential if you know what to do with it.

It isn?t Reasons mixers fault that your soundcard hasn?t got
any headroom!

no the clipping is internal to reason! granted my current
soundcard isnt top of the range, but the clipping is all
internal! i saw the propellerheads stand at a recent music
expo a couple of months ago. as i donned the headphones, i
heard the same bland sound. the other people liked it and
were like wow just like a real studio! about half of them
probably never even knew what CV/gate was, let alone midi.
just listen to the demo songs! theres just something about
reason which makes it sound rubbish. cant seem to ever get
any decent stereo field out of things or a decent eq range.
always sounds flat.

I often get distortion on my reason, but thats more cause I
crank up the volume a bit too high.... ; )
There so much to learn about levels & eq & compression and
stuff....

I haven?t really had any problems concerning the sound - I?m
mostly using my own sounds and the overall sound is ok for
me. And I just have to remember my former hardware studio,
all cables and all work with anything around instead of just
the music 6 total recall on everything! - Reason is a dream
coming true for me.
