I've always liked anime music but what is some really
cheesy, cool japanese pop (with funky lyrics), lol anyone
know of any cool stuff?

Pizzicato 5, very awesome. The Fifth Release is my
favorite. Also check out Fantastic Plastic Machine, not very
j-pop, but also very awesome :)

The Brilliant Green is more rock than pop, at least in my
understanding of the terms, but the track you suggest is
great. The whole album, 'Los Angeles', kicks ass.

Please be aware some Japanese people find the term "Jap"
offensive... I dont care personally but some people find
that rude...

Yes Aiko is good or try Ami Suzuki or Morning Musume are
quite good value.... If you like J-Hop or J-Punk try Dragon
Ash or The Bluehearts. Also Supercar are quite good...
