I recently did.. it's been over a week and I havent thought
about it once..

every now and then when I start smoking way too much I'll
just stop for as long as I want.. and pick it back up again
whenever.. I have complete control over it

quite smoking is pretty hard. I know i feel much better when
i don't smoke, but still every know and than i'll light up
another cigarette.

Haven´t smoked in a while tho...i´m working out and stuff
and trying to work on my fhysical condition, makes it easier
for me to leave the cigs alone.

making any sense here...guess not...oh well

yes it is Bono..it's him receiving the MusiCares person of
the year award awardfrom[/or just being congratulated by]
Bill Clinton..

did you ever answer my question about being boriqua?
;)

HeWhoCannot.. you're making perfect sense.. when I smoked
the most, I would still workout (though not nearly as much
as I should/used to) and immediately after working out the
last thing I wanted to think about (but I still did) was a
cigarette.. yet hours later I would still smoke.. just cause
they were there.. that's when I know I need to stop smoking
for awhile, when I smoke every chance I can get, just
because I can

if u can quit for aweek and then change your habits and
avoid things that are asociated with smoking for a while
after a month or so you should be good. thats what i did,
every now and then i will have a ciggerrette but as long as
u dont smoke a whole pack and get in the habit of smoking
you wont get cravings

I quit last Wednesday and haven't touched one since. Was on
the patches until yesterday but now I'm relying on willpower
and God alone. Nowhere near as hard as I thought.

That was cruel Tone.

If you're quitting and you fancy a smoke make a nice strong
coffee and have that as an alternative. Drink more water too
rather then cola and such as water will repair the damage
and wash the nicotine out of your system faster.

Problem is I like so much my smoke with a good cup of
coffee. Same thing after diner.
I tried to quite a few times but failed.
Good luck Deltoid

non-smokers die in their thousands every day.

That's because they got so annoyed with people who smoke.

my secret was: lots of weed

Do they live longer or does it actually just seem longer?

Smoking funds the health service.

He he he,
I take it you just take your weed in an atomiser and in food
then?

Bill:

No, they really do live longer on average. Can't remember
the exact figure but it's in the region of 3-5 years
more...

Smoking does help the NHS more than it detracts, I'll admit
that. Obesity also helps it- the VAT on confectionary more
than pays for the cost of treating it.

Smoking was recently banned in my workplace because of this
new ficticious disease passive smoking. Now I'm forced to
stand outside in the howling wind and the pouring rain with
all my anti-smoking colleagues staring out the window,
pointing at me and laughing. I'd give up if I didn't think
I'd turn into one of them.

I hate that. We have to go outside to smoke too ! The worst
thing is, we only get 10mins for break and we sit right at
the back of the building. It takes us 5 mins to walk to the
"smoking area" aka bus shelter type contraption.

Smokers SHOULD be outside workplaces. When I walk past the
smoking room here the smell makes my stomach churn. When I
see smokers in the corridor now I spit on them.

I must say I welcome the Welsh Assembly's endorsment of a
total ban on smoking in public places in Wales. About time.

Cannabis is a hell of a lot better then cigs, Cigs have all
kinds of chemicals in to keep them burning and to give you
the strongest hit of nicotine. If I could get skunk I'd
stick with that but I can only get tac and even that is hard
to come by of late. :/

then after ill try to quit cigarettes as well
i was serious, think marijuana is great for a certain
periode, then the effects become to be strange, and it
changes you for sure !
plus i was much more active before, and could do alot of
things and never get out of inspiration, weed took me all
that..

it really wasn't that hard, I said I was going to quit on
new years, and when the clock struck midnight, I put out my
cigarette and just fucking did it! Although I still
occasionally have a smoke when I'm drunk, but thats ok man!

as bad as smoking tobacco - still gives you lung cancer.

Last I heard 3 joints= 20 low tar ciggies in terms of lung
damage.

Still I don't smoke anything anymore so it's an irrelevant

Marlboro Red...

"Obnoxious , self-righteous, whining little fucks. My
biggest fear is that if I quit smoking, I'll become one of
you...Don't take that wrong. I have something to tell you
non-smokers that I know for a fact that you don't know, and
I feel it's my duty to pass on information at all times.
Ready?.......Non-smokers die every day...Enjoy your evening.
See, I know that you entertain this eternal life fantasy
because you've chosen not to smoke, but let me be the 1st to
POP that fucking bubble and bring you hurtling back to
reality....You're dead too."

-That Guy on the Piano.
